Terms and Conditions of Donation (the “Terms”)

  1. The Campaign Management Platform you are visiting allows a donor (“you”) to make a donation in GBP through the campaign page of an organisation soliciting funds on the Campaign Management Platform which has the GBP option enabled (a “donation”).  
  2. Any such donation made in GBP through the Campaign Management Platform is made as a donation to  UK Toremet Limited, a registered charity in England and Wales (number 1140972) structured as a company limited by guarantee incorporated in England & Wales (company number 07278312), whose registered office is at Hubspace, Devonshire House C/O Shenkers, Manor Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England, WD6 1QQ (“UKT”).  
  3. These Terms describe the basis on which your donation is made to UKT.  
  4. By using the Campaign Management Platform to make a donation to UKT using the GBP option, you indicate your agreement to these Terms. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms you should not use the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform to make your donation.  
  5. UKT  may amend or update these Terms from time to time. It is your responsibility to check these Terms whenever you make a donation using the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform website. The most recent version of these Terms from time to time will govern your use of the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform in the future. 
  1. UKT is a charity that provides grant funding by means of grants to third party charities and organisations for purposes that are exclusively charitable in accordance with the law of England and Wales.  
  2. Any donation you make using the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform will be made to UKT to be used by UKT for its general charitable purposes in accordance with its charitable objects.  
  3. Donations are donor-advised, and the charity trustees of UKT will, in their complete discretion, consider applying donations for the purposes of your chosen organisation and campaign. However, the charity trustees of UKT must ensure that they operate in accordance with the law of England and Wales which is why it is sometimes not possible to apply a donation for your chosen organisation and campaign. The charity trustees of UKT therefore retain the sole right to make independent decisions about what and/or whom to support with grants at their sole, absolute discretion. Although  UKT will usually seek to regrant your donation to your chosen organisation and the chosen campaign in accordance with your wishes, the charity trustees of UKT retain final discretion over whether or not to do so.  
  4. UKT is not responsible for any dissatisfaction you may have about how your chosen organisation uses any donation which you make through the GBP option of the Campaign Management Platform.  
  5. If UKT decides that it is unable to make a grant using the donation, in whole or in part, for the chosen campaign that you have decided to support through the Campaign Management Platform, for whatever reason, the donation will be used by UKT for its general charitable purposes.  Neither you, nor the organisation whose campaign you were choosing to support, shall have any right to request a refund or reallocation of the donation. 
  6. UKT may, in its absolute discretion, decide to refuse to accept any donation made via the Campaign Management Platform, and in such circumstances may refund the donation to you. 
  1. You can make a donation by following the instructions on the Campaign Management Platform. Donations can be made through various payment methods including debit card, credit card and third party payment processors (e.g. PayPal, Stripe etc.) by following the instructions on Campaign Management Platform.  
  2. Once a donation is made to UKT via the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform, the transaction is final and cannot be disputed or reversed unless it was made fraudulently. If you become aware of any fraudulent use of your debit card, credit card or the account of the third party payment processor you should report this to your card operator or to the payment processor in accordance with their reporting rules. 
  3. UKT is a registered charity in England and Wales and so your donation may be eligible for Gift Aid.  
  4. When you make a donation to UKT via the GBP option on Campaign Management Platform, confirm that you are a UK taxpayer in accordance with the requirements of the Gift Aid scheme from time to time, and give UKT permission to claim Gift Aid on your donation,  UKT will reclaim Gift Aid on your donation under the Gift Aid scheme. Further details about this will be given at the point of donation. Please note that UKT is not a financial, tax or accounting adviser and you should not rely on information on the Campaign Management Platform to determine the financial, tax or accounting treatment of any donation that you make using the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform. 
  5. When you make a donation to UKT using the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform, it may be necessary for UKT to verify your identity or the details you have given to either the Campaign Management Platform or UKT. You agree that you will provide such information or documents as we may reasonably request from time to time to enable us to do this. 
  6. In order to cover UKT’s own administrative costs, a small proportion of each donation made to UKT using the GBP option on the Campaign Management Platform is retained by UKT, as opposed to being used for grant making purposes, as follows:  
    1. for donations from UK taxpayers who are eligible and give approval for Gift Aid, a sum up to the value of the Gift Aid reclaimed is retained; and  
    2. for donations from non-UK taxpayers who are not eligible and/or give approval for Gift Aid, or for donations where Gift Aid is not applicable, up to 5% of the value of the donation is retained. 
  7. Additional costs of third parties (e.g., those of the Campaign Management Platform or your card operator etc.) are not covered by these Terms and will be dealt with directly between you and those third parties.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
