Purim is a very special time and although it should be a spiritual day I think a lot of us feel that we’re so busy running around that the day just flies past.
For the past 3 years we have had a Purim Kollel in Ramat Beit Shemesh, where about 50 men get up early to daven neitz and then learn for 2 hours before going home and getting caught up in the rush of Purim.
It gets the day off to a wonderful start and everyone can then enjoy spending the day on the other Purim mitzvos.
The people who have come have really felt very inspired by the effort they made to get up early to fit in some learning but as well as the inspiration they gain, the money we pay them helps towards covering the extra costs of Purim and Pesach.
