The Herzliya Association for the Blind is a public body engaged for many years working with blind people, providing support for them and their families in the Sharon and Herzliya area.
The Sharon area has about 1,000 blind and visually impaired people, and a small proportion of these families (about 2%) have two blind members. The Association helps the blind by providing direct solutions through family counseling and individual or family training. It also helps through financial grants in accordance with the personal and family needs of the blind or visually-impaired individuals.
Members of the Board of the Association, its Executive Committee and the other various committees do their work voluntarily without receiving any salary or remuneration.
